Pedro Sousa

I am an ungraduate biology student at FCUP. I have loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I have a strong interest in biology. Throughout my academic career, I confirmed my interest in evolution and conservation, adding new ones in genetics and bioinformatics. I am interested in understanding how climate change can affect hybridization and evolution.

Currently, in my undergraduate internship, I am studying two species of hares (Lepus timidus and L.europaeus) in the Alps contact zone, with the aim of inferring whether there is currently introgression between the two species and how climate change is influencing the interactions between individuals of both species.
